Myella
Heaven
I
went to stay at Myella,
With Olive, Pete, Lynn and Norm.
I rode, I fed cows and I mustered,
And on motor bikes I kicked up a storm!
----
There’s
even a trampoline for jumping,
To keep fit for the ride the next day.
My back is so sore, my feet are so bruised,
I know that tomorrow I’ll pay
---
The
food is truly delicious,
Cooked up by Olive each day.
With Pie and damper and crumble,
Second helping? What can I say?
----
Stubby
the dog chases cattle.
But gets over excited a lot.
We can’t keep him quiet when he’s meant to,
So he stays on his lead if he’s not.
----
Midget
the ‘roo drinks milk,
She visits at teatime and morn.
She really is ever so friendly,
She’s been coming ever since she was born!
----
On
Monday I saddled up Cool Joe,
But changed to a pretty chestnut steed.
Molly was great, we raced round the estate,
And rounded up cows that’d been freed.
----
Echo’s
a bouncy black pony,
He jogs along at a trot.
Cowboy and Freddie are mates you know,
Get between them and that is your lot!
----
Reggie
and Biddy are moody,
They bite and they kick if they can.
But Isis is gentle but feisty,
And Viola’s her biggest fan!
----
Angel’s
an old girl but lively,
Just like a Red Indian’s charge.
Candy’s a sweet little pony,
And Trigger’s always giving it large!
----
A
new calf was born on Tuesday,
And we fought upon what was her name.
Cappuccino, Twiglet or Andy?
No matter, it’s beefsteak all the same!
----
I’ve
looked at the stars with Peter,
Through telescope and with naked eye.
We saw that the moon has big craters,
"On your back, just look at the sky!"
----
We’ve
sat round the fire and we’ve chatted,
Told stories and toasted our bread,
Made "Billy tea" over the embers,
Or drunk milk from the cows instead.
----
Overall,
Myella is heaven,
Relax and enjoy it and smile.
Learn how to ride and drive cattle
Because you won’t want to leave for a while.
