"We
were collected from our Rockhampton hostel at
06:30am and then had an hour and a half drive of
about 120km west from Rockhampton to the farm. We
arrived just in time for breakfast. Straight away we
were introduced to the lifestyle of the next few
days as we were shown how to cook our own breakfast
on the open fire"
BY BUS FROM ROCKHAMPTON – Pickup 6.30am and Return 19.00pm
Myella will pick you up from Rockhampton at 6.30am. Phone to arrange a pickup
point, from where ever you are in Rockhampton. Currently most guests are picked
up from the bus station, YHA or the Ascot Hotel. The return at the end of your
farmstay gets you into Rockhampton at 19.00pm.
BY CAR
Myella is 125km South West of Rockhampton. The journey takes 1 ½ hrs. Airlie
Beach is 6½ hrs from Myella. Hervey Bay is 5hrs from Myella. From South we
recommend the inland route via the Burnette Highway, it is more scenic. If you
look at a detailed map, although you won’t see Myella, it is between Kokotungo
and Koemba and the closest town is Baralaba.
The horse riding starts at 9.00am. Some people with a car prefer to arrive at
Myella at 17.30pm the night before starting their farm stay. Phone for the price
of that dinner, bed and breakfast.

Rockhampton city is accessible by Road, Bus, Air
and Rail.
Travel
to Rockhampton with Premier Buses, Greyhound and McCafferty's Coaches, or Rail
on the Tilt Train, or by air with Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar.
DIRECTIONS FROM GLADSTONE
Myella is just over 2hrs drive, 200km from Gladstone. Drive to Biloela and
here take the sign Dululu/Rockhampton. After this, signs are very small, Take
a speedometer reading and follow this map.
