FAREWELL FIONA
I’m
not really ready
To write this poem for you
You have so much potential here
If only that you knew
It’s
sad to hear you’re leaving
You’ve come so very far
But it must be time for you
To follow that shining star
Last
year at Christmas time
You called in to say
You were interested
In joining our farm stay
So
you joined our team
Came in a shiny silver ute
With your enthusiasm and interest
We thought you were bute
You
really made an effort
Yes you really do try hard
Fiona you are continuous
Even though you’re often scared
The
horse safety course
Was really where you really shined
Working past your issues
Confidence you did find
You
and Blaze made a good team
Taking guests out on rides
You did it on your own Fiona
You should note with pride
You
can ride a horse real well
You have a real good seat
You pay attention to the detail
I think you have safe feet!
And
safety is your specialty
It’s always on your mind
Trying to do what is best
Every single time
When
it came to cooking
We thought you were great
Deserts were the highlight
One night Trevor tried to gobble eight!
And
we thank you for your efforts
You worked so hard towards
This year’s application
In the Tourism Awards
And
you are really friendly
And joined in with things in town
Netball, fitness and guitar
You really got around!
Opps!
Don’t take that the wrong way!
It was great to see you involved
Was what I meant to say
And
we will miss you
All the members of the team
We hope we have helped you
To live your farm stay dream
And
no matter where you go
And no matter what you do
We hope we built your confidence
To tackle something new
And
when we meet again
We won’t put on the billy’s lid
As we know that you are
Fiona the
Milo
Kid!
